What is the difference between Angels and Spirit Guides?

Truth seekers at their beginning stage will have this doubt. I too have wanted to find the difference between Angels and Spirit guides.
I got the answer today.
Angels are also spirits but they have never taken physical lives. They are appointed as Angels by the Divine Source.
Spirit Guides are enlightend beings after taking thousands of lives.
Does this make sense to you?
