Spanning more than 2000 km along the northeastern coast of Australia, the Great Barrier Reef is home to thousands of species of plants and animals. The Reef which runs parallel to the Queensland coast has been designated by the Australian Government as a Marine Park.

The area is covered by dense rain forests and mountains. The southern islands are composed mainly of Coral Cay.

Apart from its environmental value, the area offers visitors a variety of activities including scuba diving, snorkeling, water sports, and bird watching.

Do you know that The Great Barrier Reef is clearly from space?

It is one of the great 7 natural wonders of the world and is declared as World Heritage site by UNESCO.
